This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules governing permitted use of auditcode.co.uk and the services offered by MARVIN LUMIC LIMITED. This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.
By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violation may result in termination of your engagement and legal action where appropriate.
1. Permitted Use
You may use auditcode.co.uk and our services solely for:
- Requesting information about our security audit and code review services
- Engaging AuditCode for security assessments of code and systems you own or are authorised to have audited
- Reviewing and implementing the audit findings and recommendations we provide to you
- Any other use expressly authorised by us in writing
2. Prohibited Use of the Website
You must not use auditcode.co.uk to:
2.1 Illegal Activities
- Engage in any activity that is unlawful under UK or applicable law
- Submit false or misleading information
- Attempt to deceive or defraud us
- Circumvent or interfere with any security or authentication mechanisms
2.2 Technical Misuse
- Use automated scripts, bots, crawlers, or scrapers on this website
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our source code or methodologies
- Overload, disrupt, or attack our website or its infrastructure (DDoS, injection, etc.)
- Conduct penetration testing or vulnerability scanning of our website without our prior written consent
- Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or any other harmful code
2.3 Misuse of Contact Channels
- Submit spam, unsolicited commercial communications, or mass marketing requests
- Submit abusive, threatening, defamatory, or harassing communications
- Impersonate another person, company, or organisation
3. Prohibited Use of Our Services
When engaging AuditCode for security services, you must not:
- Submit code or systems you are not authorised to audit. You must have full legal authority to commission a security assessment of any code, system, or data you provide to us. Commissioning an audit of third-party systems or code without authorisation may constitute a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990.
- Use our services to audit systems or code for the purpose of facilitating an attack, breach, or any unlawful activity against those systems or their owners
- Misrepresent the ownership, scope, or purpose of code submitted for review
- Use our audit findings or reports to conduct, assist, or plan any offensive security activity against systems outside those you own or are expressly authorised to test
- Share our confidential audit reports with third parties without our prior written consent
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit our audit reports, methodologies, or findings without our prior written consent
4. Code and Data You Share With Us
When you share source code, credentials, or other technical materials with us, you confirm that:
- You own the intellectual property rights in the materials, or have full authorisation to share them
- Sharing those materials with us does not violate any contractual obligation or third-party rights
- The materials do not contain personal data of third parties unless disclosure is necessary for the audit and you are entitled to share it
- You have complied with any applicable employment, contractor, or partnership agreements relating to code access and disclosure
5. Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate suspected breaches of this AUP and to take any action we deem appropriate, including:
- Issuing a written warning
- Suspending or terminating the engagement
- Reporting to law enforcement or relevant regulatory authorities
- Taking legal action for recovery of costs or damages
6. Reporting
If you become aware of misuse of our website or services, or suspect a violation of this AUP, please report it to us at contact@auditcode.co.uk.
